At The Highest Levels

I am a mean person when it comes to competition. I usually take a hands-off approach to alliances, to just sort of dabble and wobble in multiple directions, and then do my best to find an exploitable weakness and choke off the atrophied players from the event. The fewer opponents there are, the easier it is to win. It’s a bit of a paranoid attitude, that the only way to be safe is to excise everyone else from the conquest at hand, but it’s the way I look at it. It’s why poker works for me as a game. You empty out the chairs until you have all of their money, and when you are the last butt seated at the table, there is your takings to be gazed across, an empire of ceramic and coin that was fought for on equal terms, until the hero of the day rose to his throne to take command of the night.

So heroic and brave.
