Tink Tank

Take everything you own, every last bit of material, put it all in a pot. All your shirts, your pants, socks, all your bedsheets and dish towels. All your electronics, your computer, your furniture, car keys, maybe not the car (depending on pot size),  but if you can disassemble it and do it piece by piece, do that. Take your books, your music, your movies, your money, everything. Diplomas, degrees, birthday cards, bills, everything. Put it all in the pot, set the stovetop to about 450, with some kind of stock (any kind will do really) and let it all boil down. Boil everything until it becomes wet, until it breaks up, until the combination of moisture and heat burn away everything you’ve ever stressed over or relaxed with into a single mixture. Let it cook for 2 hours, stir it occasionally, when it’s done, do not share it. Just stare and appreciate the combination and then dump it out. You can’t take it with you, you can’t consume it or pass it along. It is done and gone.
