Mile Marker 3

It’s crazy to look at where you end in life based on the decisions you make early on. It’s so weird to see your current state as the result of what you did to get there. Most of the time, I admit, I’m used to seeing that as a product of failure, or quitting, or poor decision-making. To be like, well, things are crappy because of crappy choices. Now, that’s not to say I live with regret. I have my fair share, but generally I am thrilled with my circumstances and so happy to be the person I am in the place I am. But that being said, experiencing that phenomenon as the result of positivity, to say, I worked hard to get to this point, and now I am here on top of the mountain, or at least at the third or fourth base camp and know every inch of that journey, it’s extremely gratifying to take time to stop and reflect with joy on those victories, then continue marching back up the path.
